Case study · Pharmacy

A pharmacy’s prescription intake, handed to an agent.

One industry, one engine. The same build runs a claims desk, a front office or a ledger.

Trained staff were keying electronic prescriptions into the pharmacy system one screen at a time, so Sumvant built an agent that works the queue the way their technicians do and leaves the final check with the pharmacist.

Anonymous by rule: no client name, no location, no screens from their system. Every number comes from the build register.

The work

What the queue asked of a person.

Strict selection rules

The right product depends on the prescription, the guideline and the stock.

The same way every time

Exact match drug list

Exact match or no match, and a near miss is an exception.

A near match is never saved

Prescriber instructions

A note on the prescription can change the product, the quantity or the route.

Read and recorded with the decision

Human in the loop sign off

The final check stays with a licensed pharmacist, by design.

Every prescription lands in the verification queue

What we built

Six capabilities, specified for one queue.

Queue intake

Every new prescription as a governed work order

AI vision extraction

Fields read like a technician, confidence scored

Your rules, applied the same way every time

The rulebook written as dated rules, every decision recorded

Its own login to the system

It sees the screen and works through its own login

Every field checked before it saves

Every field checked against the source before it is saved

Governed exception routing

The final call stays with the pharmacist

See it run

From eRx to the pharmacist’s queue, one field at a time.

A sample prescription with a tapering dose, worked the way the agent works a real one.
